Historical reclassifications will be performed according to the following level of detail:
- General Rules: Reclassifications will be performed down to the child level.
- This means that if you have a “General Facilities” account, the transactions in this account will be broken out into Auto, Office, Technology, etc.
- Exceptions:
- Labor Reclassifications (more granular): We will reclassify all labor expenses down to the sub-child level.
- Brokerage & Maintenance Departments (less granular): Transactions for these departments will be reclassified at the parent level, except where your historical classifications are more granular.
- Note: The level of granularity in your historical classifications will generally always be preserved.
- Hour Caps:
- The Chart of Accounts Conversion w/ 2-Year Historical Reclassification package includes up to 30 hours of conversion work.
- The Chart of Accounts Conversion Only package includes up to 20 hours of conversion work.
- Other Considerations:
- Corporate books must be UP TO DATE with proper accounting. We will not fix accounting errors such as coding balance sheet transactions to the income statement and vice versa.
- We must be able to access your payroll software directly. This is accomplished by setting up a login that allows us to download reports.
- With the exception of payroll, we will not be splitting transactions. For example, if you book all of your management income (all fee types) as a lump-sum transaction in your software, we will not be splitting this income into separate accounts for various fee types.
